A dark feline is a household feline with dark hide that might be a blended or explicit breed, or a typical residential feline of no specific breed. All-dark hide pigmentation is somewhat more predominant in male felines than female felines.

Their high melanin shade substance makes most dark felines have yellow (brilliant) eyes (irises).Any feline whose hide is a solitary shading, including dark, is known as a "strong" or "self". A "strong dark" feline might be coal dark, grayish dark, or earthy dark. Most strong hued felines result from a passive quality that smothers the dark-striped cat design.
